As a person who grew up in the 80’s I have missed the days when synth-pop was a “thing”. Bree Whitworth has managed to capture that iconic sound that most of Gen X’rs hold so dearly. Her new single Time transcends multiple genre. The song kicks off with a sense of dreamy synth-pop and soon begins to diverge into a pop music vibe.
Take a listen for yourself, and I am sure you will feel the same sense of nostalgia that I have. What I like about this song so much is the fact that a person can listen to it anytime or anywhere. This feels more like a true 80s pop love song, think Tiffany or Debbie Gibson. Bree’s vocals are right up there on the same level as the “Lost In Your Eyes” singer.
Listening to her and it is easy to recognize the raw emotion that she brings to the track. Subtle tonal nuances can be detected as she is telling her story it is as if she is speaking directly to a loved one through her music.
We love this song so much that we have added to both of our Spotify account playlists, and think you should too.
Bree has managed to bring me back to a time whenever I was at my very first jr. high school dance. This song has made me want to call up an old crush and tell her about the feelings that I had back then. It really is such a beautiful song and I have had been listening to it for days now. Congratulations on a job well done Bree. I am really excited to what you will release next.
Please take a minute and follow our Spotify accounts. We have placed Time in the number one spot on the Indie Pop playlist.
