Rattle My Bones (feat. Sail Cassady)from Michael Wilford
Some truly creative and inspiring songwriting can be attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rattle My Bones (ft. Sail Cassidy) from Michael Wilford is a great example of “COVID creativity”. We all have learned a great deal about ourselves, and others around us. More importantly we were forced to live with our demons and skeletons in the closet. From my prospective the premise of Rattle My Bones is learning to co-exist with these demons. I cannot stress enough the importance of surrounding ones self with supportive people who are living the same experience as you.
Adding to this greatness of Rattle My Bones is the rich baritone vocals of Sail Cassady. Wilford and Cassady mesh great on this very well written song and while there is a serious message behind this song, I could honestly see it being used in a Tim Burton Nightmare Before Christmas style film.
It is easy to lose yourself while listening to Rattle My Bones it has such a laid back tempo, it is a rather relaxing song. Aside from the stunning lyrics and vocals I also like the fact that Michael is willing to go above and beyond to build just the right team. It was recorded at Barnhouse Sound in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. The production team included not only Michael, but also Malcom Owen-Flood who is also responsible for mixing and engineering Rattle My Bones. Brock McFarlane at CPS Mastering took on the task of mastering the track.
In my opinion, it is always best to work with as many different people as one can. This not only ensures different ideas and thoughts, but also to help build lasting relationships with others. This is another great playlist worthy song that we will be adding to our Spotify playlist.
