Forward Emotion (Let Yourself Go) by Ragdoll

Rag doll was first formed in the late 80s in Northampton, UK by brothers Dave and Wayne Cox. They are exactly the reason that I have such an infatuation with the UK music scene. I grew up in the 80s, a time when rock music was cool. Since the COVID outbreak they have come together once again to release new music.

Rag doll has accomplished what very few have, they have drawn me back to the days of bands like Journey, Bon Jovi, Cinderella and Slaughter. I have had this totally rad track on repeat for days now, and I just can’t get enough of it.

Forward Emotion (Let Yourself Go) was mixed and mastered at Golden Hill Studios in Fullerton, Ca by Rag Doll bassist Paul Hird. He has done an exceptional job at capturing the band’s classic rock sound (it almost pains me when 80s rock is referred to as “classic”, we’re not that old). I am glad that the rock sounds of my generation are making such a strong comeback.

If you are a fan of the hard hitting drums and guitar riffing stylings of Slaughter’s “Up All Night, Sleep All Day” well you’re in for a thrill because Forward Emotion (Let Yourself Go) is just the track you’re looking for. Vocally and lyrically there seems to be an influence of the band Journey. You won’t be let down by this song.

Be sure and follow the band and stream their new single on Spotify.

Don’t forget to check out their social media and make sure to follow.
