Kryptonite from Sahara Beck
Australian Pop singer Sahara Beck’s new single “Kryptonite” dropped this morning, and I must say that it is one of the most intense Pop songs I have listened to for some time now. Beck does an amazing job telling her story of excessive living. Nearly verging on the side of debauchery is the main theme to this song.
The entire song is a thrill ride of events, actions, and tales of doing all the wrong things that makes us feel good.
As much as this song is about wild times and excess it is also a confession of denial and decadence. As the song progress the listener will find themselves immersed in the confessions of someone that was running away from feelings deep inside that they were trying to escape. It is an emotional appeal to the listener as well to stop trying so to make sure others around us are happy, and focus more on ourselves.
What I like so much about this song is that is easy to relate to. So many people tend to place the feelings and happiness of others above their own needs. We become accustom to living like this that we push our own feelings, fears, and desires deeper inside until we eventually begin acting on them. When we do act upon those feelings it is not always in a positive way.
This intimate look into the life of Sahara Beck was produced by ARIA Award-nominated studio extraordinaire Tony Buchen. After listening to previous releases from Beck it is my opinion that “Kryptonite” is the most honest, heart felt release she has put out thus far. Go give it a listen for yourselves and share it everywhere.
