Hazel Eyes by Padjo Dolan

Indie Rock musician Padjo Dolan released “Hazel Eyes” last month, and it is one of the cleanest rock songs I have ever listened to. The evocative lyrics combined with Dolan’s vocal make this song stand-up among its contemporaries. It also reminds me of some of the 80s rock bands that I grew up listening to.

What I like so much about this song is the fact that from the time it begins leading up to the very ending it is straight up in your face. I absolutely enjoy this type of no nonsense style of song. Lyrically, there is an honesty to be found in the wording. It plays as more of a romance between two star crossed lovers. Lovers that are looking to just run away and leave it all behind.

I would best categorize this song by saying if you are a fan of legendary rock band U2, then this is one song you will want to add to your playlist. If you have not heard this incredibly high energy song, now is the time. I am excited to hear what else Padjo Dolan will be releasing in the future. We like the song so much that we are adding it to our larger Spotify playlist. We have added it to the number one spot.
